===== Installation =====

==== Make sure Java is installed ====
  * If not, download the latest Java Runtime Environment (JRE) from http://java.com and install it on your PC. \\

==== Download the installer to your PC ====

==== Install Cell Illustrator Desktop 5.0 ====
    * Run the installer by double-clicking it in a file browser. \\ Alternatively, open the console window and execute the command: ''java -jar ci-setup-5.0.jar'' \\
    * Follow the instructions on the screen \\

==== Get your license key and run Cell Illustrator ====
    * You will need a license key to run Cell Illustrator. 
    * The various CI editions are described in [[lineup|Product Lineup]].
    * The limited version - Cell Illustrator Player - is available free of charge and can be started without license.
